neurotic Shih Tzu and my new vocation

Anyone that knows me knows that I love animals. I've loved them since the day I was born. Growing up I would bring home ever stry I found much to the discomfort of my grandmother who has a terrible fear of rabies. I've had numerous dogs in my life and started training my own dogs when I was in second grade when I read the Little Golden book about puppy ownership. My husband has even made the remark that I love animals so much its scary. I don't know if that's good or bad.

3 months ago we brought a badly bred, tiny and neurotic Shih Tzu into our lives at the age of 3 months. We are Star Wars nuts and he looked like a Ewok so his name became Wicket. He began as the sweetest puppy I had ever met and than turned into a spazzed out ball of fluff. He immediately decided I was mom and my husband was the enemy and fought for my attention at every chance. He thought my 2 oldest children were slaves and should submit to his will at all times and my 4 yr old was his equal. He was ( and still is ) a connoisseur of poop. He delights in cat , goose , dog and especially his own waste. For such a regal little thing he can sure make one nauseous. For all of his faults he is a sweet ( unless your a stranger in a hat), lovable little fuzzball. I have decided to start working towards a career in dog training and I do believe Wicket will be a great challenge and look forward to updating you on his progress.
